Chuck Lewis and Sandy Gutting met in the summer of 1945. They were on spring break at Oceanside Pier in California… and they fell in love.
It was love at first sight. They were only teenagers, but they knew they were meant to be together. They spent the entire summer together. Unfortunately, distance and other obligations separated the couple once they went back to their homes.
After separating, they each went on to live their own lives. They grew up, got married and raised their own families.
They thought they would never reunite. Too much time had passed and too much had happened.
70 years after meeting, they got in touch thanks to email. They soon discovered the feelings they had that summer were still there.
Now, the couple are getting to know each other all over again. They talk every day online, they spend one week out of the month together and even their families are happy to know they found love again.
It’s never too late to try to find true love. Timing is everything… and sometimes, you need a second chance to be with the one you really love.
If you’re a hopeless romantic like we are, share this one with others.
